Successful planning approval on a key site in Poole

We have been working to promote the site at the Quarterdeck Hotel at number 4 Sandbanks Road on behalf of the owners and their development partner Renaissance Retirement for almost two years and are delighted to report achieved a detailed planning permission with unanimous approval at yesterday’s Poole planning committee meeting.

The planning permission is for the demolition of the rather tired existing hotel and adjacent dwelling house and replacement with a development of 27 new apartments for the over 60’s.The site is ideal for independent retirement living being located on the Poole central gyratory system, within a few minutes walk of a number of shops and other amenities, including the town hall, and benefits from beautiful views over Poole park.

It has been a protracted and at times difficult planning application but the land owners are delighted with the positive outcome which nets them a land value comfortably in excess of the existing use value of the properties.

Another Planning Success in Upton

Priestfield Land and Development are delighted to announce another planning approval on a key development site in the leafy Poole suburb of Upton.

We have been working with clients to promote the site at Dorchester Road in Upton for the past year or so and are delighted to report achieved a detailed planning permission with unanimous approval at last Wednesday’s Purbeck planning committee meeting.

The planning permission is for the demolition of six former local authority houses and replacement with a development of 27 new properties arranged as 15 family houses and a block of 12 apartments.

We assembled and acquired the site for our clients in the summer of 2015 on a subject to planning basis and have, since then, been working with them to achieve a positive planning outcome.

The site went before the Purbeck Planning committee last Wednesday and was granted a detailed planning permission for the demolition of the existing property and erection of nine dwellings.
